New York

I just got back from a shoot in NY and thought what better time to revive a dead blog by posting about our shoot in NY last year.

It was a freezing winter morning when we started our shoot in December 2012, hence the empty streets. Brooklyn bridge is typically full of tourists and runners. The wind chills did not help. The cold empty streets gave a very nice black and white “New York” look to the images we shot that day. The weather forecast had predicted snow in the early afternoon and snow it did. The specks of snow flakes started falling when we were on our way to the Bethesda fountain in Central Park. The snow quickly turned into rain and it was pretty much a wet shoot the rest of the day. Amazingly the sun came out the next day, giving us a all weather look in the space of two days.

I have to thank Jessica and Tian Loon for braving the snow/rain/sun and still looking so good in the pictures. I think our NY makeup artist still thinks we were crazy to shoot a portrait session in the middle of winter.

Here are the images from that session.
